# Connect Rechat to Your AI Assistant

Rechat’s Model Context Protocol connection, commonly called MCP, allows supported AI assistants to access Rechat tools and information on your behalf.

After connecting, you can use a conversation to search your People Center, explore live MLS listings, review transactions, create marketing, manage tasks, and more.

The Rechat MCP address is: `https://mcp.cluster.rechat.com/mcp`

{% hint style="info" %}
**Your permissions still apply:** Your AI assistant can only access the Rechat information and tools available to the Rechat account you use when signing in.
{% endhint %}

### Before You Connect

You will need:

* An active Rechat account
* Access to a supported AI assistant
* Permission to add a custom connection or MCP server in that AI assistant
* The Rechat MCP address: `https://mcp.cluster.rechat.com/mcp`

Available features and setup options may vary by AI provider, subscription, and organizational settings.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Availability:** OpenAI currently lists Developer Mode as available on Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, and Education accounts on the web. Workspace administrators may control whether members can create or use custom connections.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Important:** Developer Mode can provide both read and write access. Review requested actions carefully before approving changes, messages, or newly created content.
{% endhint %}

### Connect Rechat to Gemini

Support for custom MCP connections varies across Gemini products.

Custom connections may be available through technical or enterprise experiences such as:

* Gemini Enterprise
* Gemini CLI
* Gemini Code Assist
* Gemini Spark custom apps

These options may require configuration by your organization’s technical administrator. The standard Gemini chat experience may not provide the same connection options.

Provide your administrator with the following Rechat MCP address: `https://mcp.cluster.rechat.com/mcp`

Google’s setup and availability may vary by Gemini product and account type.

### Test Your Connection

After connecting Rechat, start with information you already recognize so you can confirm the connection is working.

Try one of these prompts:

* “Use Rechat to find my contact \[your name].”
* “Use Rechat to show me the deals closing this month.”
* “What Rechat tools do you have access to?”

Including “Use Rechat” in your first few prompts can help your AI assistant choose the correct connection.

### What You Can Do

#### Work With Your People Center

Find contacts by name, email address, or tag. You can also add contacts, update contact details, and manage tags through the conversation.

Try:

* “Find my contacts tagged Past Client.”
* “Show me homeowners I haven’t contacted in six months.”
* “Add the tag VIP to Jane Smith.”
* “Create a new contact for Alex Morgan.”

#### Review Your Transactions

Ask questions about your Rechat deals, including transaction type, status, price, and important dates.

Try:

* “What deals are closing this month?”
* “Show me my active buyer-side transactions.”
* “Which transactions are over $500,000?”
* “What is the next important date for the Smith transaction?”

#### Create Marketing

Create marketing tied to listings and your brokerage’s available brand templates, including:

* Social posts
* Flyers
* Postcards
* Email campaigns
* Single-property websites

Try:

* “Create an open house flyer for this listing.”
* “Draft a market-update campaign for my Past Client tag.”
* “Create a single-property website for this listing.”

You can refine generated marketing with follow-up instructions such as “Use warmer colors” or “Make the headline larger.”

#### Manage Tasks and Your Calendar

Create tasks and reminders or ask about events on your calendar.

Try:

* “Create a task to call Alex Morgan tomorrow.”
* “Remind me to review the listing presentation Friday.”
* “What is on my calendar this afternoon?”

### Workflow Ideas

#### Re-engage Past Clients

1. Ask Rechat to find contacts with a specific tag and no recent activity.
2. Review the returned contacts.
3. Ask your AI assistant to draft a relevant email campaign.
4. Confirm the recipients before creating or sending anything.

#### Create Reporting Rollups

Ask for closed transactions, closing dates, and sale prices to support internal reporting or goal tracking.

Scheduled or recurring workflows depend on the automation options available through your chosen AI assistant.

#### Support Agent Training

Connect Rechat alongside your brokerage’s training resources to create practical coaching exercises using real market information.

Agents could practice:

* Listing presentations using active listings
* Pricing conversations using recent comparable sales
* Objection handling based on current market conditions

### Current Limitations

Keep these boundaries in mind when using the connection:

* **Specific templates cannot be requested by name.** Marketing is created using your brokerage’s available template library. You can review or change the template in Rechat’s Marketing Center.
* **Contact notes are not currently available.** Your AI assistant can access supported contact details and tags, but not notes stored on a contact record.
* **Flows must be managed in Rechat.** Creating Flows and enrolling contacts in them currently happens within Rechat.
* **Tasks are not automatically linked to contacts.** Tasks created through the connection appear in your task list. Open Rechat to associate them with a specific contact.
* **Email performance is available in Rechat.** Campaign opens and clicks can be reviewed through Marketing Insights.
* **The connection does not act independently.** It responds when prompted unless you configure a separate scheduled workflow supported by your AI tool.

Rechat is actively expanding the connection’s capabilities.

### Review Before You Confirm

Your AI assistant may ask for confirmation before completing an action that creates, updates, or sends something.

Review the details carefully, especially when:

* Updating contact information or tags
* Creating or sending an email campaign
* Creating marketing
* Making changes to Rechat data
* Performing an action that affects multiple contacts

**Example:** Asking your AI assistant to create an email campaign for a tag may include every contact assigned that tag. Review the intended recipients before confirming the action.

### Disconnect Rechat

Disconnecting Rechat stops that AI assistant from accessing your Rechat account. It does not delete or change information already stored in Rechat.

#### Disconnect From Claude

1. Open **Settings** in Claude.
2. Select **Connectors**.
3. Find and select **Rechat**.
4. Choose the available disconnect or remove option.
5. Confirm the change.

#### Disconnect From ChatGPT

1. Open **Settings** in ChatGPT.
2. Open the app, plugin, or connection-management area.
3. Find and select **Rechat**.
4. Choose the available disconnect or delete option.
5. Confirm the change.

You can reconnect later using the same MCP address and Rechat sign-in process.

### Frequently Asked Questions

#### Is this the same as Lucy?

Not exactly. Lucy is Rechat’s built-in AI assistant and provides Rechat-specific assistance directly inside the platform.

The MCP connection is useful when you want Rechat to work alongside other tools, files, or information available through an external AI assistant.

#### Does connecting Rechat give the AI access to my entire brokerage?

No. The connection follows your Rechat account permissions. Your AI assistant can only access the information and actions available to the Rechat account used to sign in.

#### Will the connection make changes without asking me?

The connection acts in response to your instructions. Your AI assistant may also require confirmation before completing write actions, depending on the assistant and its settings.

Always review an action before approving it.

#### Can I connect more than one AI assistant?

Yes. You can connect Rechat to multiple supported AI assistants. Each connection must be configured and authenticated separately.

#### Can I disconnect and reconnect later?

Yes. Removing the connection from an AI assistant does not delete your Rechat information. You can reconnect later using the same MCP address.

#### Why don’t I see an option to add the connection?

The feature may not be available through your AI plan, account type, device, or workspace settings. If you use an organization-managed account, contact your workspace administrator.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.rechat.com/appendix/integrations/connect-rechat-to-your-ai-assistant.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
