# Manage a Deal Through Closing

As the transaction approaches closing, confirm that required documents are complete, office feedback has been resolved, important dates are accurate, and the transaction is ready for final processing.

### Review the transaction

Before closing, confirm that:

* Required checklist items have been completed.
* Submitted documents have been approved or otherwise resolved.
* Declined documents have been corrected and resubmitted.
* The closing date and other critical dates are accurate.
* The buyer, seller, agents, and closing contacts are correct.
* Commission, referral, CDA, and sales information is complete when applicable.
* Required closing documents have been added.

### Resolve outstanding office feedback

Review any items marked declined, missing, awaiting review, or otherwise requiring attention. Open the checklist item to review available feedback, replace or correct the document, and notify the office again when necessary.

### Update the Deal status

Use **Change Status** when the appropriate closing status is available to you.

Some statuses, including final payment or brokerage-processing statuses, may only be available to authorized administrators. MLS-connected listings may also have status restrictions.

### Find the completed Deal

After the transaction is closed, terminated, or archived, locate it from the **Archive** tab or by using search when available.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.rechat.com/guides/deals/manage-a-deal-through-closing.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
