Using Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Passwords alone aren't always enough to protect your account. Multi-Factor Authentication adds an extra layer of security by requiring a verification code from an authenticator app when you sign in.

What is MFA?

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) helps keep your Rechat account secure by requiring two forms of verification:

  • Your password

  • A one-time verification code generated by an authenticator app on your mobile device

Even if someone knows your password, they won't be able to access your account without the verification code.

Why You'll Use MFA

Your Rechat account may contain sensitive information including:

  • Client contact information

  • Property and listing data

  • Transaction details

  • Marketing assets

MFA helps protect your account and your clients by preventing unauthorized access.

Rechat works with most authenticator applications. We recommend one of the following:

Google Authenticator

A simple, lightweight app that generates secure verification codes—even without an internet or cellular connection.

Microsoft Authenticator

Microsoft Authenticator generates secure verification codes and can also manage sign-ins for your Microsoft and other online accounts.

Signing In with MFA

After entering your email address and password:

  1. Open your authenticator app.

  2. Locate your Rechat verification code.

  3. Enter the current six-digit code.

  4. Complete sign in.

The code refreshes automatically every few seconds.
