Agent Network

Find agents with relevant MLS activity, refine your audience, and send a trackable property email through Agent Network.

Agent Network helps you identify agents with relevant MLS activity near a property and send them a targeted, professionally designed email. Use it to promote listings, publicize open houses, uncover potential inventory, or connect with agents active in a specific market.

Why use Agent Network?

Agent Network uses MLS data to build an audience around a selected property or location. Depending on the data provided by your MLS, you may be able to review information such as:

  • Agent name

  • Brokerage

  • Number of listings

  • Number of represented buyers

  • Sales volume

  • Average price

  • Available email address

This helps you reach agents who have demonstrated relevant activity in the market instead of relying on a general mailing list.

Common uses include:

  • Promoting a coming soon or just listed property

  • Announcing an open house

  • Sharing a price improvement

  • Promoting a property that has returned to the market

  • Announcing a recent sale

  • Asking about upcoming or off-market inventory for a buyer

  • Identifying active agents for brokerage recruiting

The agents shown are based on MLS activity associated with the selected area. They are not simply agents whose home or office address is nearby.

Open Agent Network

You can begin from Agent Network or from one of your listings.

Start from Agent Network

  1. Hover over Marketing from the main navigation.

  2. Select Agent Network.

  3. Search for a property by its address or MLS number.

  4. Select the property you want to use.

This workflow can also be used to market another agent’s listing, such as an open house you are hosting.

Obtain the listing agent’s permission before marketing a property that is not your listing.

Start from one of your listings

You may also be able to begin from a listing shown in Rechat:

  1. Locate the listing from Today, Listings, or Transactions, depending on your account.

  2. Select the option to market the listing.

  3. Select Agent Network.

Both paths open the audience-selection screen for the chosen property.

Understand radius and ZIP Code targeting

Agent Network uses one of two geographic targeting methods:

  • Radius: Finds agents with relevant activity within a selected distance of the property.

  • ZIP Code: Finds relevant agents in one or more selected ZIP Codes.

Can I choose which targeting method to use?

No. Your MLS determines whether Agent Network uses radius-based or ZIP Code-based targeting. You cannot switch an account from one method to the other.

If your screen differs from an example in this guide, that does not necessarily indicate a problem. The available targeting method and agent data depend on the MLS connected to the property.

Refine a radius-based audience

If your MLS supports radius targeting, the current distance appears above the agent list.

To change it:

  1. Select Change Filters.

  2. Move the Radius slider to the desired distance.

  3. Select Apply.

  4. Review the updated number of agents and their available production data.

Increasing the radius generally adds more agents. Reducing it creates a more focused local audience.

Refine a ZIP Code-based audience

If your MLS supports ZIP Code targeting, the ZIP Code associated with the selected property appears above the agent list.

To change the audience:

  1. Select Change Filters.

  2. Add or remove ZIP Codes.

  3. Select Apply.

  4. Review the updated agent list.

Add neighboring ZIP Codes when you want to reach agents active in a broader surrounding market.

Radius and ZIP Code filters both control the geographic audience. The difference is determined by the MLS and is not a user preference.

Review and select agents

Agent Network initially selects the agents returned by the current geographic filter.

Before continuing, review the audience and:

  • Clear the main checkbox to deselect everyone.

  • Select or deselect individual agents.

  • Review the available brokerage and production information.

  • Change the geographic filter if the audience is too narrow or broad.

  • Use the available sort control to reorganize the results.

The fields displayed may vary by MLS. Radius-based results may include more detailed production information than ZIP Code-based results.

Choose what to do with the selected agents

After selecting your audience, choose Add To Contacts or eBlast.

Add To Contacts

Add To Contacts adds the selected agents to your CRM in People Center. Rechat automatically applies the Agent Network tag to those contacts.

Use this when you genuinely want to maintain the selected agents as part of your ongoing CRM database.

You do not need to add agents to your contacts before emailing them. If your immediate goal is to promote a property, you can select eBlast directly.

eBlast

eBlast lets you create and send an email to the selected agents.

The selected recipients are added using BCC, which means recipients cannot see the other agents included in the distribution. Rechat can track supported email activity, including opens and clicks.

Select an email template

After selecting eBlast, choose an email template that matches what you want to communicate.

Available categories may include:

  • Coming Soon

  • Just Listed

  • Just Sold

  • New Price

  • Open House

  • Drafts

  • Previously sent designs

The exact categories and designs depend on the content available through your brokerage.

  1. Browse the categories across the top of the selector.

  2. Choose the appropriate listing status or purpose.

  3. Select a template to open it in the email editor.

Customize the email

Rechat uses the selected property to populate compatible templates with listing information and photography.

Depending on the template, you can customize items such as:

  • Text and headings

  • Listing descriptions

  • Property photographs

  • Additional image layouts

  • Videos

  • Buttons and calls to action

  • Agent information

Your available colors, fonts, logos, and other branding options may be controlled by your brokerage.

For an Agent Network email, consider updating the call to action so it speaks directly to another agent. For example:

  • Contact me to schedule a private showing for your client.

  • Reply for additional property information.

  • Let me know if you have a buyer for this property.

  • Contact me about your upcoming or off-market inventory.

Review the email before continuing

Before sending:

  1. Verify the property information and photographs.

  2. Review any automatically populated text.

  3. Confirm that links and buttons lead to the correct destination.

  4. Use the desktop and mobile controls to preview the design.

  5. Select Send Test Email and review the message in your inbox.

  6. Select Save & Continue when the email is ready.

Always send yourself a test email. This gives you an opportunity to catch incorrect listing information, missing images, broken links, formatting problems, or an outdated call to action.

Add the subject and send the email

After selecting Save & Continue, Rechat opens the final email screen.

From here, you can:

  • Confirm the sender.

  • Review the BCC recipients.

  • Remove individual recipients if necessary.

  • Add other email addresses, contacts, tags, or lists.

  • Enter the subject line.

  • Review the email preview.

  • Add an attachment when appropriate.

  • Save the email as a draft.

  • Schedule the email for later.

  • Send the email immediately.

Because the agents are BCC’d, recipients will not see the complete distribution list.

Find your saved or sent email

Selecting Save & Continue saves the design to your marketing history.

To return to it:

  1. Select Marketing.

  2. Open History.

  3. Locate the draft or sent email.

  4. Select it to review the available actions.

You may also see draft and previously sent designs in the Agent Network template selector.

Review opens and clicks

Agent Network eBlasts support email engagement tracking.

To review available activity:

  1. Select Marketing.

  2. Select Insight.

  3. Locate the email or related recipient activity.

  4. Review available delivery, open, and click information.

A bounce indicates that the recipient’s email provider did not accept the message. This may happen when an address is invalid, inactive, or temporarily unavailable.

For guidance on protecting your email reputation and reducing delivery problems, see Email Deliverability.

Best practices

  • Start with the purpose. Choose the audience and template based on a specific listing status, open house, buyer need, or recruiting goal.

  • Review the returned audience. Do not assume that every agent returned by the geographic filter is appropriate for every message.

  • Expand targeting thoughtfully. Increase the radius or add neighboring ZIP Codes when the initial audience is too small.

  • Keep your CRM intentional. Use Add To Contacts only when you want the selected agents in People Center for future relationship management.

  • Write for agents. Adjust the subject, description, and call to action for a professional real estate audience.

  • Verify MLS content. Confirm all automatically populated property information before sending.

  • Test every email. Review both desktop and mobile presentation and test important links.

  • Respect listing ownership. Obtain permission before promoting another agent’s listing.

Frequently asked questions

Can I choose between radius and ZIP Code targeting?

No. The connected MLS determines the targeting method available for the selected property.

Why does my Agent Network screen look different?

Agent Network results vary by MLS. Your account may use radius or ZIP Code filtering, and the available agent production fields may also differ.

Do I need to add the agents to People Center before sending an eBlast?

No. You can send an eBlast directly to the selected agents without adding them to your CRM.

What happens when I select Add To Contacts?

The selected agents are added to People Center and receive the Agent Network tag.

Can recipients see everyone who received the email?

No. Agent Network recipients are added using BCC.

Can I select only certain agents?

Yes. You can select or deselect the entire list or individual agents before continuing.

Can I promote another agent’s listing?

You can search for a listing by its address or MLS number. Obtain the listing agent’s permission before using their property in your marketing.

Can I use Agent Network if I do not have an active listing?

Yes. You may use a property as a geographic anchor for purposes such as promoting an open house, seeking inventory for a buyer, or identifying agents active in an area. Make sure the selected template and message accurately represent your purpose.

Why did Agent Network return very few or no agents?

Try expanding the radius or adding neighboring ZIP Codes, depending on the targeting method provided by the MLS. Also confirm that you selected the correct property and that the connected MLS has qualifying agent activity and contact data for the area.

Can I track the email?

Yes. Supported delivery, open, and click activity can be reviewed in Marketing > Insight.
