# Favorite Templates

Favorite the templates you use most in Marketing Center to make them easier to find and help Rechat choose your preferred designs when creating marketing automatically.

Favorites can also be set by your brokerage or brand, helping surface recommended templates throughout your organization.

### Why use Favorite Templates?

Marketing Center includes templates for many different types of marketing. Favorites help prioritize the designs you use most so you don't have to search for them every time.

Favorites can help you:

* Find your preferred templates faster.
* See templates recommended by your brokerage or brand.
* Establish your preferred designs for different marketing categories.
* Influence which templates Lucy uses when creating marketing for you.
* Influence templates used by other automated marketing experiences, including Listing Marketing emails, Saved Search, and Testimonials.

> **FYI:** Favorites prioritize templates; they don't restrict your choices. You can still browse and use other templates available to you.

### Favorite a template

You can favorite templates directly from Marketing Center.

1. Go to **Marketing**.
2. Open the category containing the template you want to favorite.
3. Find the template you want to use.
4. Hover over the template and select the **star ⭐**.
5. A filled star indicates the template is now a favorite.

You can also add or remove a template from Favorites using the template's menu.

#### Remove a favorite

To remove one of your own favorites, select the filled **star ⭐** again.

If the template was favorited by your brokerage, brand, or another higher-level account, you cannot remove that favorite. Rechat will let you know:

> **This is favorited by a higher-level account and cannot be removed.**

<figure><img src="https://1031368632-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MJZySovZjoLVT1XAonI%2Fuploads%2F6fv8pf7oHDtjrtD1yOkp%2F2026-09-29_10-49-36.png?alt=media&amp;token=a967bff7-c115-4c18-a274-447cb464e642" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

This allows organization-level favorites to remain available to the agents and accounts that inherit them. Pasted text

### How Favorites work with automated marketing

Favorites aren't just bookmarks. They can also help Rechat determine which template to use when marketing is created automatically.

Favorites can affect automated experiences including:

* **Lucy**
* **Listing Marketing emails**
* **Saved Search**
* **Testimonials**

Previously, these automated experiences could rely on a system-defined template. Favorites allow your preferences and your organization's preferences to influence the template Rechat uses instead. Pasted text

#### Your personal favorites

When you favorite a template in a category, Rechat can prioritize your personal preference when automatically creating that type of marketing.

For example, your brokerage may have a preferred **Just Listed Email** template. If you favorite another Just Listed Email template yourself, Lucy can use your personal favorite when creating a Just Listed email for you.

Your favorite does not remove or overwrite your brokerage's favorites. Both can coexist.

#### Brokerage and brand favorites

Brokerage and brand Admins can favorite templates to surface preferred designs throughout their organization.

A favorite established at a higher-level account flows down to applicable child accounts. Agents will see those templates as favorites and cannot remove the inherited favorite.

Agents can still add their own favorites, and adding a personal favorite does not overwrite the favorites established by the brokerage.

If your organization has multiple account or brand levels, you may see favorites established at different levels of your organization.

> **Best Practice for Admins:** Favorite preferred templates in the categories your agents use most, especially categories used for automated marketing. Favorites provide agents with guidance and sensible defaults without preventing them from choosing other templates.

### Favorites are specific to each category

Favorites are specific to the marketing category in which they're set.

For example, favoriting a template under **Properties: Just Listed → Email** does not automatically establish favorites for **Just Listed → Social**, **Just Sold → Email**, **New Price → Email**, or other categories.

If you regularly use several types of marketing, visit each applicable category and favorite your preferred templates.

> **Pro Tip:** Set up Favorites for the marketing categories you use most. Once your preferences are established, Rechat can use them in workflows that support automated template selection.

### Using multiple Favorites

You can favorite more than one template within the same category.

When multiple favorites are available, they are prioritized when browsing templates. Your own favorites and favorites inherited from your organization can appear together.

When Rechat automatically creates marketing, your personal preferences can take priority over an inherited brokerage preference.

> **Note:** The order templates appear in Marketing Center does not necessarily represent which template Rechat will use for automated marketing.

### Favorites when selecting a template manually

Favorites also make it easier to find templates in workflows where you select a design yourself.

For example, when choosing a template for an **Agent Network eBlast**, your applicable Favorites appear toward the beginning of the **Select Template** window.

<figure><img src="https://1031368632-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MJZySovZjoLVT1XAonI%2Fuploads%2FUvMWzGalQptkFH6dhX0m%2F2026-09-29_10-54-28.png?alt=media&amp;token=bf8a1bd3-5c55-4425-81b7-a5baa0a114dd" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Rechat does not necessarily select the template automatically in these manual workflows. You can choose a favorite or browse the other available templates.

### Frequently Asked Questions

#### Can I favorite more than one template?

Yes. You can have multiple Favorites within the same category.

#### Why do I see a favorite I didn't add?

The template may have been favorited by your brokerage, brand, office, or another higher-level account. Those Favorites can flow down to applicable child accounts.

#### Why can't I remove a favorite?

If Rechat tells you the template was favorited by a higher-level account, the Favorite was established by your organization and cannot be removed from your account. Pasted text

#### If I add my own favorite, does it replace my brokerage's favorite?

No. Your personal Favorites and your organization's Favorites can coexist.

#### Will my favorite affect every type of marketing?

No. Favorites are category-specific. Favorite your preferred templates within each category you want to personalize.

#### Does the first template in Marketing Center always determine what Lucy uses?

No. The visual order of templates does not necessarily determine the preference used for automated marketing. Lucy can prioritize your personal Favorite even when an inherited brokerage Favorite appears ahead of it.

#### Can I still use a template that isn't a Favorite?

Yes. Favorites prioritize preferred templates; they do not restrict the other templates available to you.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.rechat.com/guides/marketing/marketing-center/favorite-templates.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
