# Customize a Presentation

After you select the subject property, comparable properties, adjustments, and testimonials, Rechat generates the Presentation and opens the editor.

The editor is designed to be point-and-click. Select an element in the Presentation to change its content or appearance.

### Before you begin editing

Review the subject property, comparable properties, and listing adjustments before spending time customizing the Presentation.

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Warning: Editing adjustments resets your Presentation edits**\
If you click **Edit Adjustments** after customizing the Presentation, the edits made to the generated website will be lost. Rechat displays a confirmation message before continuing.

Complete your property selection and adjustments first. Return to **Edit Adjustments** only if you are prepared to recreate your Presentation customizations.
{% endhint %}

### Navigate the Presentation editor

Use the page controls along the side of the Presentation to move between its pages.

The toolbar at the top of the editor allows you to:

* Switch between desktop and mobile previews
* Undo or redo recent edits
* Report an issue
* Add, remove, or reorder pages
* Return to listing adjustments
* Save and publish the Presentation

Some publishing options, including PDFs and domain management, may remain unavailable until the Presentation is published.

### Edit text and other content

Most Presentation content can be edited by selecting it directly.

1. Navigate to the page you want to change.
2. Click the text, photo, or other element.
3. Use the editing panel to make the available changes.
4. Continue through the Presentation and review every page.

Depending on the selected item, the editing panel may provide controls for:

* General settings
* Dimensions
* Typography
* Decorations

You may also be able to insert additional content, including:

* Basic design elements
* Maps
* Videos
* Articles
* Agent information

Available controls depend on the selected element, page, and Presentation template.

<figure><img src="https://1031368632-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MJZySovZjoLVT1XAonI%2Fuploads%2FYmZ4IcxOcwJnVgvoPHCD%2F2026-08-24_11-49-25.png?alt=media&amp;token=acf6c635-6af0-46fa-84f6-76a320ec4414" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Review and replace property photos

Properties retrieved from the MLS include the listing photos available through the MLS feed.

Review the photos used for:

* The cover
* The subject property
* Each comparable property

To replace an image:

1. Select the photo in the Presentation.
2. Choose the option to change the image.
3. Select another available MLS photo, choose an image from your gallery, or upload a file.
4. Confirm the replacement.

An off-market property only includes the photos you added manually. If you did not upload photos when entering the property, add them while customizing the Presentation.

{% hint style="info" icon="head-side-brain" %}
**Best practice:** Review every MLS image before sharing the Presentation. The photos available in the MLS may not be arranged in the order or context you want to use during a client conversation.
{% endhint %}

### Edit property information

Review all property information before publishing, particularly when the subject property was entered manually.

Select the applicable content in the Presentation to update details such as:

* Property address
* Price
* Bedrooms and bathrooms
* Square footage
* Lot size
* Property description
* Headings and labels

Information retrieved from the MLS reflects the data available through the MLS feed. Manually entered properties contain only the information you provided.

### Review the pricing recommendation

The Presentation includes a pricing analysis based on the subject property, selected comparables, and any adjustments you entered.

Depending on the template, you can edit the pricing section to:

* Change the recommended price
* Enter a price range
* Update the heading
* Add supporting language
* Explain the pricing strategy

Use the pricing section and agent remarks to explain how you reached your recommendation. A client should be able to understand the reasoning behind the number—not simply see the number itself.

### Add agent remarks

Agent remarks allow you to provide professional context that cannot be communicated through property data alone.

Consider addressing:

* Why you selected the comparable properties
* Important differences between the subject and the comps
* Current market conditions
* Buyer activity
* Property condition
* Pricing strategy
* How the recommendation supports the seller’s goals

Keep the remarks clear, specific, and appropriate for the client receiving the Presentation.

### Add, remove, and reorder pages

Click **Add/Remove Pages** at the top of the editor to manage the pages included in the Presentation.

The panel displays the current pages in their existing order.

<figure><img src="https://1031368632-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MJZySovZjoLVT1XAonI%2Fuploads%2F1hHzgMtqsePJkOezF4s6%2F2026-08-24_11-50-35.png?alt=media&amp;token=62324505-44d2-42cd-b3f5-d6ac74c70cbb" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

#### Reorder pages

1. Locate the drag handle beside a page.
2. Drag the page to the desired position.
3. Repeat as needed.
4. Click **Done**.

Arrange the pages to support the flow of your client conversation. The most useful order may vary depending on whether you are presenting live or sending the Presentation for independent review.

#### Remove a page

1. Locate the page you no longer want to include.
2. Select the option to remove it.
3. Repeat for any other unnecessary pages.
4. Click **Done**.

Removing pages that do not support the client conversation can make the Presentation shorter, clearer, and more persuasive.

#### Upload a custom page

1. Click **Upload a Page**.
2. Select the file you want to add.
3. Add the uploaded page to the Presentation.
4. Drag it into the desired position.
5. Click **Done**.

Uploaded pages are also saved to the applicable Pages Library for future use.

#### Add a page from the Pages Library

1. Click **Select from Library**.
2. Search or browse the available pages.
3. Click **Select** beneath the page you want to add.
4. Add any other pages you need.
5. Click **Done**.
6. Drag the added pages into the desired order.

The Pages Library may include content created or provided by:

* You
* Your team
* Your office
* Your brokerage

Available content depends on your account and permissions.

<figure><img src="https://1031368632-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MJZySovZjoLVT1XAonI%2Fuploads%2FF9IYKFwLpk3xmusX8pTR%2F2026-08-24_11-52-30.png?alt=media&amp;token=70176528-7617-4adb-bed6-005fc5da7332" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Review testimonials and profile information

Confirm that the selected testimonials are appropriate for the client and Presentation.

Also review the agent and brokerage information included in the template, such as:

* Name
* Headshot
* Contact information
* Biography
* Brokerage information
* Office information
* Social or website links

Update your profile information in Rechat if the Presentation displays outdated details.

### Preview the Presentation

Before publishing, review the Presentation.

Check for:

* Missing or incorrect text
* Incorrect property information
* Poorly cropped photos
* Unnecessary pages
* Incorrect page order
* Outdated information
* Pricing or adjustment errors

### Final review checklist

Before clicking **Save & Publish**, confirm that:

* The correct property is designated as the subject
* The comparable properties are relevant
* Listing adjustments are complete
* MLS photos are appropriate
* Off-market property details are complete
* Pricing recommendations are accurate
* Agent remarks explain your analysis
* Testimonials are correct
* Agent and brokerage information is current
* Pages appear in the intended order

{% hint style="info" %}
If you discover that an adjustment must be changed, make that change before completing additional design work. Returning to **Edit Adjustments** will reset the custom edits already made to the Presentation.
{% endhint %}

When the Presentation is ready, see [**Publish and Share a Presentation**](/guides/marketing/presentations/publish-and-share-a-presentation.md).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.rechat.com/guides/marketing/presentations/customize-a-presentation.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
