Exporting your first design
The Figma plugin will expect you to have each one of your designs that you want to export in a different Frame. Essentially, a frame will be the container for each of your templates.
Create a rectangular frame on your Figma (With any size, we'll discuss that later) by typing F
on your keyboard. You can also click on the Frame icon on the Figma toolbar and inserting a frame on your Canvas.

The frame you insert will be the main container of a template. You can have as many frames as you want on your Figma design, and each one of them can become a separate Rechat template.
Put some basic elements like texts on your frame. Once you're ready, open up the Rechat plugin in Figma. You can do so by going to Plugins -> Rechat
or typing ⌘+P and selecting Rechat.
Once the Rechat plugin is opened, select your frameby clicking on the frame title:

The Rechat Figma plugin will always look at the frame you have selected. In the picture above you can see that I have My Frame selected and Rechat is ready to export that.
Mediums and Aspect Ratios
Using this plugin you can export any Social or Print templates to Rechat. The Medium drop down allows you to select what type of template you want to export.
However, it's very important to remember that for the templates to work reliably, they need to have certain dimensions. For example a social post on Instagram or Facebook needs to have an aspect ratio of 4:5
or 1:1
.
Any medium you choose, Rechat will test it's dimensions and aspect ratio against the frame you have selected. If they are not a match, the Rechat plugin will show a red warning like the following:

Make sure your frame has an aspect ratio that matches the medium you have selected. If you do, the plugin will display a green message.

Publishing
Make sure your template has appropriate name, tags and descriptions. Also, select the proper Category and Sub Category for your template. The sub category list can get long but it does have a search capability so you can easily find the category you're looking for.

Once you are ready, click on the Export Template
button.
Once you do Rechat asks you to select the Accounts you want this template published to. Initially, you can select your personal account or a Marketing Committee account. Later you will be able to change this.

Select the accounts and once you're ready, click Export Template
.
After a few seconds you should see a message like this:

This means our template is ready to go.
Go back to Rechat, make sure you're on the same account that you published the template to. Go to the category you published this under, and you should be able to see your first template published to Rechat.
