FAQ

Selecting email-appropriate fonts.

Fonts can appear broken or distorted in emails due to a few reasons:

Font support: Not all email clients support all fonts. When an email is composed using a font that is not supported by the email client, the client may display a fallback font or a default font instead. This can cause the email to look different from what was intended.

Embedding fonts: Some email clients do not support embedded fonts, which means that the email recipient may not be able to see the font as intended. When this happens, the email client may use a fallback font or a default font instead.

HTML and CSS: Emails are typically written using HTML and CSS. If the HTML and CSS are not written properly, it can cause the font to appear broken or distorted. For example, using the wrong font size, color or weight can cause the font to appear different from what was intended.

Image-based text: If the text in the email is created using images rather than HTML and CSS, the recipient may not be able to see the font as intended. This is because some email clients may block images by default or may not display them properly.

To avoid font issues in emails, it is best to use web-safe fonts that are supported by most email clients, use HTML and CSS correctly, and avoid using image-based text whenever possible.
